My Story

My story starts in 2008, when I woke up at 1am jonesing for sweets so bad that I left the house in my pajamas and drove to the 24 hour donut shop down the street, bought 5 donuts (3 glazed twists, and 2 old-fashioneds), and ate them all before I got back home which was only 1 mile away!  I knew then that I was addicted to sugar.

I was over 60lbs overweight (5’3”, 168 lbs), bad acne, joint pain, sweating disorder, low energy, and a depressed mood.  "Somethin’s gotta give", I thought.  Exercising in and of itself was useless.  But when I added a ketogenic approach to eating, weight loss became effortless.  And a lifestyle was born.

As a self-professed control freak, what I love about nutrition and fitness is that you have a great deal of control over the outcome.  There are many things in this life that you cannot control, but your mind and body can be shaped any way you want it. 

​

I maintained a ketogenic diet for years, had a baby, gained weight, lost it again with Keto.  Had twins, gained weight, lost it again with Keto. 

 

Every time I gained and lost weight, I did it alone.  I was the only person that I knew that ate this way.  I had no like-minded community.  It was hard!

I started Keto coaching because I wanted to help others lose weight by learning not only how and what to do, but “why” keto works.

​

I started group coaching because I realized how effective it was to be around people that could relate to you.  Knowing that you are not alone is invaluable.

​
